Nicole Martensen

Greetings, and welcome!

I am an applied anthropologist working in Southern California. I am available to assist you with audio and video transcription services, and survey research design and evaluations.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (cum laude) with a minor in Native American Studies from Humboldt State University in May 2014 and a Master’s in Applied Anthropology in December 2019. As an undergraduate, I worked as an Archaeological Research Assistant for the Cultural Resources Facility and served as an officer for the Humboldt State University Anthropological Society.

After graduating, I spent a season as an archaeological technician for Shasta-Trinity National Forest, in the McCloud Ranger District.  I also worked as a Research Assistant for the Market Street Chinatown Archaeology Project at the Stanford Archaeology Center, assisting in inventory, analysis, and collection management. I also acted as the laboratory and Finds Manager for the Cangdong Village Project, December 2016 Field Season in Kaiping, Guangdong Province, China.
